Our June speaker is Falayn Ferrell, a Houston native, entrepreneur, and community leader who earned her B.S. in Business Administration from Florida A&M University before co-founding Fade Media, a digital marketing firm, and launching Black Restaurant Week in 2016 — a campaign that has grown to support over 5,000 Black-owned culinary businesses across the U.S. and Canada, generating 400 million+ media impressions annually and over $87 million in economic impact in Houston alone.
As Executive Director of the Feed the Soul Foundation, she has overseen more than $2.8 million in support to minority-owned culinary businesses, and she continues her community engagement through board roles at the University of Houston's Conrad N. Hilton College and the Greater Houston Black Chamber.
